DOCUMENTS TO BE PROVIDED
A shirt with a flap (red for girls and blue for boys)
A birth certificate for the middle classes
Two birth certificates for exam classes that are less than 6 months old
6 color passport photos of the same print, less than six months old,
Proof of parental authoritý for separated, divorced parents or legal guardian,
A certificate of attendance from the previous school
A photocopy of the previous and current year's quarterly report cards
A copy of the national school identity card or discharge form with the national number
A copy of the current year's report card including the orientation decision (notice of passage) from the last class council, from the home institution (by June 30, 2022 at the latest)
Upon confirmation of enrollment, the (correct) certificate of expulsion from the original school.

1- At the registration desk
- Check the online registration process
- Retrieve the registration form to send to the accounting department for payment
- Submit the certificate of expulsion and the school booklet from the original school.
- Submit a photocopy of the decision of the last class council of the home institution no later than August 1st.
2- At the accounting office
- For former students, only those who have paid off the current year will be able to re-register by presenting their re-registration form.
- New students present the registration form and make the first payment in full

REGLEMENT INTERIEUR
The internal regulations define the rules governing the daily life of the school and specify the rules of collective life on the school premises applicable to students, parents and staff.
Enrollment in the Groupe Scolaire l'Ardoise implies full acceptance and commitment to the present rules by the student and his/her parents.
I- RULES OF OPERATION OF THE ESTABLISHMENT
ARTICLE 1 :Access to the institution
Access to the school is reserved for students, their parents, staff and authorized visitors. Students with a green card are allowed to leave the school at lunchtime and at the end of classes. Those with a red card will remain in the school until the arrival of their parents or the adult authorized to come and get them. If the student loses the green card, he/she will see the accountant who will give him/her another card upon payment of a fee. Students who take the bus or who eat in the canteen must show their card before they can access the bus or the canteen.
ARTICLE 2 : Our Timetable
Classes take place :
- From 07H30 to 12H20 in the morning
- From 13H15 to 16H00 in the afternoon
- Wednesdays from 7:30 am to 12:20 pm
The doors of the school are opened 15 minutes before the beginning of classes and closed 15 minutes after the end of classes. Parents picking up their children are not allowed to enter the school until the bell rings. Parents of students are advised that the school is not responsible for accidents to students not only outside the school grounds but also outside of these hours.
Students who have received a green card with their parents' permission will be allowed to leave.
ARTICLE 3 : Access to the computer room
The computer room is a quiet, individual work space. No student is allowed to stay in the computer room without a school activity. It is open to students, teachers and staff. Anyone entering the computer room agrees to abide by its rules (posted).
ARTICLE 4: Access to the infirmary
The confidential medical form is important as it is useful in case of emergency and difficulties encountered in the child's learning.
It is important that parents keep their child at home in case of contagious diseases such as chicken pox... The return of the student to school is subject to the presentation of a medical certificate and the certificate of recovery. Parents agree to check their child's temperature daily and not to send him/her to school if it exceeds 37.8°. Any student showing symptoms of colds and flus is asked to stay home. We will make sure that the child's mandatory vaccinations are up to date. The school will contact the parent of any student who is ill to pick up the student. ARTICLE 5: Movements, interclasses and recreations
At intermission, students wait silently for the teacher in their classroom. Students are asked not to run or shout inside the buildings. At recess, students leave the classrooms to relax in the courtyard. Play in the playground must not be violent or dangerous. Playing with balls is not permitted during recess. After each recess, students will return quietly to their classrooms to wait for the teacher.
II. STUDENTS' OBLIGATIONS
ARTICLE 6 : Punctuality
The start and end of classes are announced by the siren. No student will be admitted to class 15 minutes after the start of class. All late students must report to the teacher to register their lateness. The late student will be taken to the study hall for the next class. One hour's absence will be charged to the student. However, if a student is late after 8:25 in the morning and 2:10 in the afternoon, he/she will be considered absent unless accompanied by a parent or if he/she has a medical certificate justifying his/her lateness.
ARTICLE 7: Attendance
The obligation to attend school consists of submitting to the timetable of lessons and supervised or directed studies defined by the school's timetable; it is compulsory for compulsory lessons and for optional lessons as soon as the pupils have registered for them. Under no circumstances should students be allowed to leave the school during free time.
ARTICLE 8 : Absence and illness.
Any absence from class, regardless of its duration, must be justified by the parents, otherwise the student will not be admitted to class.
After any absence, the student must present himself/herself to his/her educators to justify the absence, in order to be authorized to return to class.
Any absence, without justification by the parents, to a scheduled assignment will be sanctioned by a zero grade. An alternative assignment may be arranged upon presentation of proof.
Any absence due to illness must be justified by a medical certificate.
Any contagious disease must be reported to the management. A certificate of non-contagion must be provided before the student is allowed to return to school.
ARTICLE 9: Dress code and hairstyle
1. Classroom Apparel:
Girls :
- Navy blue skirt or pants: no mini, no tight pants, no jeans
- Chemisier tout blanc avec manches ou polo; pas de tee- shirt
- Pair of closed shoes. Wearing heels, clogs or flip-flops is prohibited.
- Hairstyles must not extend beyond the shoulders. Extravagant and/or fancy hairstyles and color dyes are not permitted.
Boys
- Navy blue pants, no jeans.
- White shirt or white polo shirt, not tee shirt
- Pair of closed shoes. Sandals or clogs are not allowed.
- Hair well cut in one tone and clean.No extravagant hairstyle.
N.B.: Access to the school will be refused to any student who is not in regular dress (uniform) on regular school days.
The following are strictly prohibited
- Sweaters in colors other than black, blue or white and hoodies
- Make-up
- Extravagant and/or expensive jewelry. The Establishment is not responsible for lost or stolen items
2. Wearing the badge
The wearing of the button is mandatory. Any student who does not wear the embroidered "Slate" button or whose outfit is unkempt or extravagant will not be admitted to class. They will be kept in study hall.
3. Sport Wears
It is mandatory for students.
- T-shirt and shorts (color according to class) mandatory
- Sports shoes are mandatory
- It is forbidden to attend a class in sportswear.
ARTICLE 10: RESPECT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT, MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT
1. Cleanliness of the establishment
Students must respect the environment of the school: flowers, lawns, buildings etc... under penalty of punishment.
Garbage (paper, plastic packaging, etc.) and other garbage must absolutely be thrown in a garbage can.
2. Classroom materials
All students must have their supplies and textbooks. Students who do not have their textbooks may be excluded from class. The school is not responsible for lost or stolen materials.
3. Collective material
Any damage to material by the student (tables, walls, doors, windows, boards, ceilings, glass, etc.) will be charged to the parents.
It is strictly forbidden to scribble graffiti on walls, doors and windows, tables and chairs... under penalty of having to pay for their restoration.
ARTICLE 11 : Prohibitions
The following are prohibited and penalized:
1.Any cheating or attempted cheating will be penalized by a zero for the assignment, and in the event of a repeat offence the student will be brought before the School Organization Committee.
2.Any theft or extortion of funds will be severely punished either by a temporary exclusion of the student or by a permanent exclusion of the student with reimbursement by the parents in serious cases.
3.The use of objects or devices that may distract the class, disrupt the calm of the studies (cell phones, i-pods, tape recorders, headphones, radios, photo novels, roller skates, cameras, etc.) is strictly prohibited. The use of cell phones is strictly forbidden. The student must not be seen in possession of his or her cell phone on the school premises.
4. Possession and/or consumption of illegal drugs (alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, etc.) on the premises of the establishment or in the vicinity of the establishment.
5.The consumption of food in class is prohibited. Chewing gum is not allowed, and lollipops are not allowed on school grounds.
6. Fights and aggressive behavior by students against each other or against a staff member or teacher.
7) Gestures or verbal expressions of disrespect.
8.Individual or collective demonstrations of a noisy nature (shouting, screaming, heckling).
9.Crowding or walking in the hallways or balconies during school hours, as well as harmful behavior.
10.Carrying dangerous objects: The use of a knife or any other object (teaser, tear gas canister, etc...) considered as such will result in the student's automatic exclusion.
11.Throwing projectiles of any kind or any dangerous game.
12. Any denigration of the institution, its management, its teaching, its staff or its working methods will be considered as serious misconduct.
13.Attitudes and behaviors to be respected Students must have a respectful, courteous and humble attitude towards the teaching staff as well as towards the management and service personnel (secretaries, drivers, surface technicians, guards, laborers, etc.) all working for their education and well-being within the school. Students who make insulting, slanderous or defamatory remarks are liable for their own actions or those of their legal representatives in the case of minors.
ARTICLE 12: Punishments and school sanctions
Violations of the internal rules lead to the application of school punishments or disciplinary sanctions, depending on the case. Punishments and sanctions are educational in nature. Their purpose is to make the student responsible for his or her actions and to put him or her in a position to question his or her conduct by becoming aware of the consequences of his or her attitude.

The head of the school may impose sanctions ranging from a warning to a temporary exclusion of up to eight days. The Disciplinary Council can impose all sanctions:

III. THE OBLIGATIONS OF PARENTS
ARTICLE 13 : Insurance
Insurance is mandatory for all students. It covers medical expenses in case of incidents, intoxication, disability...
ARTICLE 14: Tuition
Parents must read and approve the financial regulations in the accounting department before registering their child.
ARTICLE 15: Transportation and canteen
Before joining these different programs, the parent must read and approve the rules and regulations of these programs.
ARTICLE 16 : Communication
Direct exchange with the actors of the educational life
Parent involvement is essential to student success in both the academic and disciplinary areas. Therefore, parents are strongly encouraged to contact the teaching and administrative staff:
- Reception service at any time during opening hours.
- Educational assistants, teachers, the principal and the head of the school by making an appointment at the reception desk.
They are required to be present at the meeting with the teaching staff organized at the end of each term.
The correspondence booklet
It is the main link between the school and the family. It allows parents to justify their child's lateness, absences and physical education exemptions. The teachers note down information concerning the life of the class, remarks on the work and behavior of the student and requests for appointments. The student must always have it in his or her possession and parents are asked to consult it every day. The correspondence booklet, circulars, memos and other notices given to students must be signed by the parents and returned to the school upon receipt.
IV. STUDENTS' RIGHTS
Students are guaranteed the rights of association, assembly and publication. However, they can only be exercised with the written authorization of the Director or the Management Coordinator.
Freedom of assembly
Meetings must be held outside of school hours; they must not infringe on the principle of neutrality with which schools must comply.
Freedom of association
The purpose of associations may not be political or religious in nature in view of the principles of neutrality and secularism. Only cultural, social, scientific and leisure activities are allowed. In case of breach, the Director invites the president of the association to comply. He may withdraw the authorization.
Freedom of publication
Students are free to publish and distribute their work in the school. The Head of the school may suspend or prohibit publication if certain writings are offensive or defamatory or seriously infringe on the rights of others or public order.
Consent
By enrolling their child in the Groupe Scolaire l'Ardoise, parents agree not only to follow their child's academic progress, but also to ensure that their child respects the school's internal rules.
